At a time when in temperate latitudes the sun is at its highest and the holiday season is gaining momentum, Thailand is experiencing a calm holiday period due to persistent tropical rainfall caused by the southeast monsoon. In June, a full low season begins here, which can also be fully used for a calm and peaceful holiday. The danger of tropical showers during this period should not be exaggerated. It should be noted that precipitation is mainly observed at night and in the evening after sunset. However, the likelihood of being hit by heavy rain in any region of Thailand in June is quite high. Therefore, when going to this country in June, it is worth grabbing a plastic cape, since there is very little use from an umbrella at this time.

However, in spite of the thick storm clouds that reign over the kingdom in June, here you can still fairly hope for relatively frequent, albeit short-lived, glimpses of the bright tropical sun. For the beginning of June, heavy rains are not typical. After heavy short-term rainfall, the sky clears up rather quickly. The number of rainy days in different regions of the country differs significantly. The largest number of rainy days, of which there are up to 18 in June, are distinguished by Krabi and Phuket. There are only 6 such days in Bangkok, and 11 in Pattaya.

Despite the difference in the number of rainy days, the temperature and humidity throughout the country remain quite high. Almost everywhere the air temperature is more than 30 degrees, and the water in the sea warms up to 30 degrees.

Despite the warmth of the sea water in June, bathing enthusiasts are trapped by constant high waves and treacherous underwater currents. Many islands are fraught with the threat of pronounced ebbs and flows.

In addition, a cloudy sky creates a deceptive opinion about the possibility of sunbathing to your heart's content and not getting burned. Therefore, even on cloudy days, you should not lie on the beach for a long time, since the tropical sun can cause burns even when the sky is completely covered with thick clouds.

In June, the constantly blowing winds raise high waves, and the sea provides excellent conditions for windsurfing and kiting. However, for diving enthusiasts, unfavorable conditions are formed, since due to constant storms, the water in the sea does not differ in transparency.

More acceptable conditions for recreation are created in the northern provinces of the kingdom, where there are relatively few rainy days in June. Compared to May, relatively low temperatures are observed here due to short-term precipitation. During the day, the air warms up to 31 degrees, and the night pleases with relative coolness. At night, the temperature can drop to 23 degrees.

Intermittent rains, high air and sea water temperatures create favorable conditions for recreation in Pattaya. Gusty, light winds have a positive effect on the weather conditions in this resort region, lowering the temperature and reducing the heat.

Phuket has especially favorable conditions for recreation on the east coast. Here, a relatively calm warm sea and a cloudless sky will delight tourists with the opportunity to lie on the beach for some time and soak up the rays of the tropical sun.

It is especially pleasant to rest on Koh Samui in June. At this time, the sun is not as hot as in the previous month, and intermittent rains and winds will bring pleasant coolness.
